Our Year 13 students are revising hard for their upcoming examinations and most of those who have applied to university have now accepted their firm and insurance offers. Students who are applying for apprenticeships face the extra challenge of the application process at this busy time of year, with CVs, covering letters, tests and interviews having to be fitted in alongside revision timetables. These students are offered extra help from local recruitment expert Grazyna Moore and we are extremely grateful to Grazyna for the time she gives to give personalised and group support.

We are very proud of a number of our students who have managed to secure apprenticeships to start in September. Frank Wilson started the application process in January, with the interview stages and exams beginning in February and continuing through to May.  However, the perseverance has paid off as, although tens of thousands originally applied, Frank has been accepted on the Microsoft Level 3 apprenticeship in Marketing with Xbox which will begin in Reading in September. Other Year 13 students who have already secured apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships, include George Harrison (Level 3 IT apprenticeship with Royal London), Joseph Southern (degree apprenticeship with AstraZeneca) and Rory Stobart (degree apprenticeship with Thales Software Development).

We wish them all the best of luck.
